The first book in the numerous (14 to date) Overworked Chronicles. A paranormal, scifi, YA story centered on a teenage boy named Justin. Justin would kindly be classified as a nerd and unkindly as a complete fat loser.
The title caught my eye. It's an interesting prospect that the title implies, that this hitman had no soul. I guess you could argue that anyone capable of killing another human for money has to be soulless.
This is the first book in the series. The story of a war-weary black ops soldier who leaves that life behind in an effort to repair his soul. Unfortunately, the world is a dangerous place with plenty of people who'd love nothing better than to watch the world burn.
